Privacy policy

What happens to your data when you visit this site. Last updated 28 October 2026.

1. Controller

The controller under Art. 4(7) DSGVO (GDPR) is Philipp Schlüter, Grabbestr. 5, 33189 Schlangen, Germany. Email: [email protected]. See also the legal notice.

2. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the requested URL, browser type, referrer and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site securely. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO, our legitimate interest in a stable and secure site. We rely on a data processing agreement with Cloudflare (Art. 28 DSGVO). Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), under which Cloudflare is certified.

We do not combine this data with other data and we do not use it to build profiles.

3. Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script from Cloudflare measures which pages are opened, from which site you came, your country and the page load time. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not build a profile of you. Cloudflare is the processor, under the same agreement as in section 2. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO, our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.

This site runs no advertising scripts and sets no cookies of its own.

4. Links to other sites

When you click a link to another site you leave this site. That site is then responsible for its own data processing and may set cookies. Affiliate links first pass through the affiliate network that counts the click, and that network may set a cookie to credit the sale. We have no control over this. Read the privacy policy of the site you visit.

5. Contact by email

If you write to us, we store your address and your message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO, or Art. 6(1)(b) if it relates to a contract). We delete it when your inquiry is resolved, unless a legal duty to keep it applies.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 DSGVO). Write to [email protected] to use them.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO). The competent authority for our business is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestr. 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany (ldi.nrw.de).
